Sushi 5'8" Fish Soft Surfboard by California Board Company®. The CBC 5'8 Sushi Soft Surfboard is one of top sellers! This foam top surfboard has a 100% waterproof foam core with molded-in laminated wood stringers for structure and flexibility. It also features a polyethylene slick bottom WITH GRAPHIC and a IXPE/XPE deck skin and an attached traction pad that help with grip before you even add wax. Since the Sushi is a short board it is best for either a very small rider just learning how to surf or a bigger more advanced rider. The weight capacity is up to 160 lb but that may vary depending on skill level. The heavier the rider – the more skilled he or she would need to be to float and maneuver a small short board like this. The Sushi comes with 3 surf fins and a PU surf leash.

In September of 2008, four friends got together for 2 nights of dinner and conversation. California Board Company® had known each other for about 10 years by that time. California Board Company kicked around the idea of going into business for ourselves during those nights, and in December of that same year, Keeper Sports Products, LLC was born! Mark had started a shortened career in retail out of college in 1980 on Nantucket Island. Scott began shaping bodyboards in Southern California while attending college in 1981. The bodyboard company whom Scott was working for in 1986, was bought by a company in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Mark joined that company in 1987. One on the west coast, the other on the east coast, California Board Company joined forces with Charlie and Michael 21 years later.
