Cargo Pants

Cargo pants, those tough loose- or regular-fit trousers with large side pockets, are incredibly practical and comfortable while being stylish at the same time. Like a variety of garments, they came from the military, hence the other name – combat trousers. Cargo pants first appeared as part of the British Army uniform in 1938 and then were borrowed by the U.S. Army and worn by the military during WWII. Their cargo pockets were used to hold medical supplies, ammo, maps, and other battlefield items.

These days, cargo pants are appreciated for their tough, durable constructions, generously-sized utility pockets, and comfortable fit. They are perfect as workwear at a job site and as outdoor activewear, while also serving as an element of a casual outfit and even gaining popularity in the fashion world. Cargo pants are rugged enough to withstand tactical, outdoor and workshop use while being stylish enough to go well with streetwear. They are sometimes made from waterproof materials and feature tapered and sealed seams, hence being able to protect you in the worst of weather. Oftentimes, quick-drying fabrics are used.
