1. Water repellent fabric sheds water but is permeable to air. The fabric is tightly woven and/or has a finish applied that causes the water to bead up and run off.
2. Water resistant fabric is constructed to hinder the absorption and/or penetration of water. This type of material does soak through in heavy rain and prolonged exposure to water.
3. Waterproof fabric is impermeable to air and water. To make a product waterproof, all seams need to be sealed and/or taped closed. Note, waterproof fabric can get wet but the backing will be waterproof.

Some states require pontoon boats to be registered. Check with your state’s boating regulations to see if you have to register your boat and what the requirements are. You will probably need the Certificate of Origin form which is included with the boat and the hull identification number (HIN) which is printed on the boat itself.
Make sure the valve is in the closed position and insert the inflation adaptor in the valve. Inflate using a foot pump or hand pump. Only inflate to ¾ full before you install the pontoons to the frame (partially inflated bladders will make it easier to strap the pontoon to the frame). After the pontoon is attached to the frame, continue to fully inflate the bladders until firm to the touch.
Classic boats vary in size and color as well as features. How you plan to use the boat will determine the features and colors you need.

If you’re already on the water, the center part of the valve would already be up and should be ready to go if you needed to add more air.

Classic advises that if the car is new or freshly re-painted that the cover should not be used for 4 weeks. Some compounds (the PE) in the fabric may react to some paints, causing the car finish to oxidize and/or change in appearance. After this waiting period, the covers can safely be used.
