Dog fence systems come in wireless and in-ground forms. Both use shock collars emitting a small buzz (the strength can be adjusted according to the size and stubbornness of your pet). Wireless systems utilize a transmitter that creates a circular pet zone around it. Underground fences involve laying the wire into a shallow trench that marks up the boundary. As the dog approaches the line, a warning beep and vibration are produced first, and if ignored, static stimulation is used.
