Gail Force® Water Sports is a family owned and operated company established in 2003 in Dallas, Texas. Gail Force® was born out of the need of its founders and passionate boating enthusiasts Scott and Sonya Carpenter for a better way to float and enjoy the lake rather than wearing their life jackets as diapers while floating behind their boat. In order to avoid paying an extra charge for airline luggage and lugging the saddle floats around, Scott designed a portable saddle float, which would be easy to pack and carry for vacations, but would provide the same floating experience as the original. With the expansion of its product line, Gail Force has renamed the extra thick saddle float as the Saddle PRO and its new inflatable saddle as the Saddle GO.
