There are two water sports disciplines that can be called “kneeboarding.” The first one is generally known as kneeboard surfing. In this case, the rider uses a glass fiber composite-covered polyurethane foam kneeboard that has from 5 to 6 and a half feet in length to paddle on his or her belly to catch a wave and ride it just like on a conventional surfboard while staying on their knees instead of feet. Low center of mass gives riders better stability. When surfing closer to waves, it gives them an enhanced feeling of speed. Besides, lower stance allows riders to position themselves inside waves that are breaking for exciting tube riding.

The second type of kneeboarding is a kind of aquatic wake-style tow sport. In this case, kneeboarders use short (from 3 to 5 feet long), buoyant boards with a hydrodynamic shape and convex surface to perform tricks. Note that to enjoy this type of kneeboarding, besides the board itself, you need to have a 45 to 75 feet long rope or tow line and a motorboat that can maintain a constant speed from 15 to 20 mph. In our store, you can find everything that you may need to engage in kneeboarding activities, including high-quality kneeboards that feature retractable fins for improved maneuverability and padded shock straps for better comfort.
