Traxxas is a top manufacturer of state-of-the-art electric cars, trucks, boats, and more. The company was founded based on a totally new idea of a fully assembled, hobby-class R/C car. It called this car class 'Ready-To-Run.' The RTR models come with hop-ups, replaceable parts, and a radio system as standard models but they are ready to get up and run. Fully assembled with a colorful body, the RTR models have become a true hit.

Over time the company improved the performance of electric RTR models and added some breakthrough features. The Radicator and Hawk models integrated the handling, driveline, and suspension geometry developed by a prominent racing program. Traxxas' interest in R/C wasn't limited just to cars. The next company's step was the development of the first RTR gas truck. When the revolutionary Nitro Hawk was presented in 1992 it quickly became successful and attracted many new R/C nitro consumers. In 1996 Traxxas developed the Nitro Vee, the first Ready-To-Run nitro boat. It has the water-cooling and advanced Return-To-Shore feature which utilizes an auxiliary electric motor to drive the boat back to the coast if its engine is out of fuel. It was also the first nitro boat which had a clutch allowing it to move at low speeds with the precision of an electric boat.

In 1999 the company introduced T-Maxx, the first nitro with a true forward/reverse transmission activated by the driver with the 3-channel TQ3 radio system. This product shows the creative and enthusiastic spirit of the company which is truly dedicated to its craft. The transmission is completely enclosed that allows the use of an automatic two-speed mechanism which functions in both forward and reverse as well as enables top speeds of 30+mph. The suspension has over 3.5 inches of travel and 8 oil-filled shocks. With the help of T-Maxx, Traxxas released a massive technological assault on the R/C world.

Today Traxxas carries an exhaustive line of prime monster/stadium/nitro power/short course trucks, boats, helicopters/quadcopters, on-road cars, etc. Among company's products are also Traxxas iDTM Power Cell batteries which provide unrivaled speed, acceleration, and power in all Traxxas products. The company also offers fast chargers built on the unique iD technology allowing to charge two batteries at once. Traxxas won a lot of national and regional off-road championships and then provided kit versions of the winning cars as models, namely the Blue Eagle racing truck, TRX-1 buggy, SRT racing truck, and TCP buggy.
