Cold Steel® 90WVBA - Viking™ 30" Battle Axe

Someone I knew purchased a few Cold Steel Axes like these and gifted them away. We could not find where she ordered them and I did a search to find them. RECREATIONiD had them in stock a the same price. I throw competitively and looked forward to receiving these. I was concerned that replacement handles are not available anyplace it seems? I understand why now. I received three of these and each handle came twisted. The spine of the handle twists about 15 degrees off the edge of the blade so throwing them is not intuitive compared to the ragweed forge bearded axes I normally throw. Thankfully the RF handles will fit these heads. The heads are well made. I'm concerned also that the set screws that cold steel added a set screw to hold the handles in the head each one of the three I received the set screws were screwed in so deep they were no longer engaged in the head of the axe and the handles were loose. Because of the handles and the poor assembly I docked 2 stars from the quality on this product.

The pole axe look good. Did not like the black coating they had on the axe head. I removed the coating. Like the pole shaft. It strong. Also the screws that come with it that you put the guards on break easy. Had to do a little sanding to get the axe head on the shaft. After I got it put together. I love it.
