Paracord

Parachute cord, also known as paracord, was originally a part of a parachute, as its name implies. Essentially a strong and lightweight neon rope, it was used in suspension lines. However, today, a paracord has many more applications apart from its primary one and is rightfully considered one of the most multifunctional survival items. Generally, paracords are divided into six types. Among all of them, the type III is considered to be the most popular. It is capable of holding the weight of 550 lbs, that is why it is also known as a 550 paracord. Consisting of 7-9 core strands, it is, however, not the strongest paracord of all types, but the most commonly used one for a variety of situations due to its affordable price and high quality. If you are seeking for the strongest paracord, it is type IV which has 11 core strands. As it’s utterly strong, this type is much more expensive than the third one.
